Corporate Volunteering
Literacy Partners welcomes corporate groups of various sizes for individual and group volunteering activities to help us fulfill our mission.
If you’re looking for a team-building activity that also fulfills your company’s social impact goals, partner with Literacy Partners! Our volunteers tutor hundreds of students and distribute tens of thousands of books each year.

- Books of Their Own (BOTO) – Set up a company impact day at our office in the financial district and help our staff bundle and send culturally responsive books directly to our families.
- Letter Writing – Our students love to hear from the volunteers who help distribute our BOTO books. Host a letter-writing workshop at your company office or at ours, and we’ll send your notes to our families with the next batch of books!
Online and in-person opportunities available!
- Tutor one of our students on a weekly basis and make an impact on their literacy journey.
- Conversation Practice – Be paired up with a student to practice essential conversation skills in English.
- NYC Marathon – Each year Literacy Partners has running slots – companies who sponsor our running teams receive first pick and partnership marketing opportunities.
- Gala – The ‘must attend’ nonprofit event of the year held in New York City annually.
- Annual Sponsorship – The most high-impact sponsorship of all! Become a benefactor for one of our key programs and receive special recognition in materials and special access to volunteering opportunities.
