Scaasi-Ladd Book Fund

Parker Ladd was a true champion of literacy, supporting Literacy Partners since the 1980’s with his partner, Arnold Scaasi, and Liz Smith. Following the death of  Arnold, Parker established the Scaasi-Ladd Book Fund  to support our Books of Their Own home library project. Books of Their Own provides our students with 15 books per child in their home, per year, and coaches our students on making family reading a daily habit. Help Parker and Arnold’s legacy continue – a gift to the Scaasi-Ladd Book Fund will help equip low-income and immigrant families with books that will pave the way for a brighter future.
